Our 18-hole golf course opened in May 2009 and within a matter of years was praised as ‘Norfolk’s most exciting new club’ by UK magazine Club Golfer.
With our hotel facilities on hand, including our treatment rooms and two bars, wives, friends and families can relax in comfort while you play.
Heacham Manor Golf Course for all levels of golfers. The course has been designed as an American-style links for all levels of player. It is intersected by two rivers, both of which feature on six of the 18 holes.
A wide variety of native trees and shrubs have been planted to enhance the difficulty of the holes and complement the ‘links’ feel to the course. There are also four lakes, the largest of which is the backdrop for the ‘signature hole’, the par-three seventh.
The front nine are the more ‘American links style’ and include three large lakes to be avoided. The first and second of those are connected by a winding stream fed by a weir that protects the front of the short, par-three fifth. The third and largest lake is the setting for the seventh, which requires a well-struck shot to carry the 100 yards of water fronting the green. The eleventh also incorporates the large lake, which challenges you to take on the green with your second shot.
The next three holes enter parkland, with wide views of The Wash from the fourteenth. The fifteenth plays from an elevated tee towards the hotel, in full view of the terrace and conservatory. The final three holes cross the Heacham River and the 18th is a reachable par 5, but beware the Ringstead River beside it.
The course is designed for players of all standards, and has five sets of tee positions. The championship tee plays a course of over 7,000 yards while the blue junior tees are around 5,700 yards.
Heacham Manor Golf Course might be young, but it is growing up fast. On the undulating ‘links’ style front nine the landscaping has settled in and the shrubs have thrived, while the trees of the parkland back nine are just how nature intended.
Recent drainage work has rid the course of standing water in the winter, while the water features remain as challenging as ever. Thanks to our experienced head green-keeper, the greens are faster and the fairways thicker.
Last but no way least, our 19th, the Avocet Bar, has become a popular local watering hole.

From 18th April works will commence on new mounding on the left hand side of hole 14, as a safety feature for the new housing estate.
During this time the tees for hole 14 will be moved forward during the week so that the works can continue safely.
The 14th will therefore be played as a par 3 and a temporary scorecard will be provided in the clubhouse.
The 13th tee may also be move forwards for a short period while a new 13th tee is being constructed.
Please refer to the signage showing the correct routes to walk between the holes.
Thank you in anticipation for your patience with this project, the end results I am sure will be very impressive.
