Norfolk is a wonderful county for walkers and Heacham Manor a great start and finish point.
The Peddars Way meets the sea at Holme, just a couple of miles from the hotel, and the stunning Norfolk Coastal Path runs from Hunstanton to Cromer. There are woodland walks and parks such as Sandringham, Houghton or Holkham to explore, all teeming with wildlife.
Despite its reputation, Norfolk is not flat. The rolling hills, while they make up an idyllic rural vista of their own, also offer expansive views of the coast and across the Wash to Lincolnshire. Local bus services, such as the easy-to-use Coasthopper, can speed you back to the hotel for a hot bath and well-deserved dinner after your hike. Ask at Reception for suggestions and maps.
