Environmental Policy

Heacham Manor Hotel recognises that it has a responsibility to the environment beyond legal and regulatory requirements.

Our Commitments

We endeavour to:

  • Minimise energy use wherever possible turning off PC's, lights etc.
  • Reducing out usage of harmful cleaning chemicals and replacing these with eco-friendly products wherever possible.
  • Encourage our guests to explore the local attractions by public transport, bicycle or on foot by providing information on walks, cycle routes and cycle hire information and bus and tube timetables at Reception.
  • Use low energy light bulbs in all areas.
  • Monitor our energy consumption of gas, electricity and water.
  • Use electronic mail where possible to reduce the use of paper.
  • Make every effort to ensure that where waste materials or products can be recycled they are recycled in an environmentally responsible way in order to conserve resources. All glass, bottles, paper, wood and waste are externally sorted.
  • Use local businesses when tendering for contracts.
  • Publish seasonal menus which contain in season fruits and vegetables with meats sourced locally.

Green Policy for our Guests

We would like to enlist the help of our guests in achieving aims by asking them to:

  • Turn off lights when leaving the room.
  • Turn off the television when leaving the room.
  • Turn off taps.
  • Limit the use of air-conditioning or heating and turn it off when a window or door is open to the outside.
  • Leave newspapers out of the bins so they can be collected separately by the housekeeping staff.
  • Adhere to the hote's Towel and Linen POlicy.
