As the only fully-fledged golf hotel in North West Norfolk, we here at Heacham Manor are committed to the sport and to sponsoring local professionals. It is with great pride, therefore, that we announce the sponsorship of two East Region PGA professionals for the 2017 season.
Two Pros, One Hotel
Danny Poulter, brother of Ryder Cup hero Ian Poulter, and a member of the MENA Tour will represent Heacham Manor Hotel and Golf Club for the 2017 season as the attached Touring Professional.
Danny is an experienced pro, and has previously competed in European Tour events, and qualified in 7th position for this year's MENA Tour schedule. For the 2017 season, Danny is looking to focus on East Regional Pro AM events, The Open qualifying, MENA Tour and European Tour qualifying at the end of the season.
Our second PGA professional is James Taverner, an old friend of the hotel, who will continue his association with Heacham Manor Hotel and Golf Club by wearing the club logo on his golfing gear.
Along with Danny, James will be playing in a number of East Regional events, and will focus on The Open qualifying and EuroPro Events. James, who has recently returned from playing in the Algarve Golf Tour, has set qualification for the European Tour as his objective for the 2017 season.
Ambassadors of Heacham Manor
Both Danny and James are great friends of Heacham Manor and have enjoyed playing at the golf course and staying at the hotel on many occasions over the years. In their capacity as ambassadors for Heacham Manor both pros will actively promote the golf course over the course of the season, and will look to invite both amateurs and pros to come along and enjoy all that we and the surrounding area have to offer a golfer.
Paul Searle, Managing Director of Heacham Manor, said "I am delighted both Danny and James have agreed to represent Heacham Manor Hotel and promote us within the regional events and we hope that our sponsorship will help them to achieve their golfing ambitions for this season".
Danny and James will be taking part in the Open qualifying event at Sandy Lodge Golf Club on 26th June, and you can follow their progress throughout the season on the following link:
We'd like to wish them both the best of luck for the 2017 season.
