Royal Norfolk Show
Summer would not be complete without the famous Royal Norfolk Show, which will take place on 27th and 28th June 2018. Each year, the show comprises of a plethora of different stalls, a variety of livestock and a range of different displays. Whether you are interested in horticulture, livestock, food or music, the Royal Norfolk Show has something to please everyone. Sandringham Food and Drink Festival
Sandringham Food and Drink Festival is always a fantastic event. This year, visitors will have the opportunity to watch live cookery demonstrations from chefs including Levi Roots, Matt Tebbutt and Phil Vickery. Taking place on 4th and 5th August 2018, the festival promises a weekend full of fun, plenty of food and some fantastic live music. Not only will there be plenty of food and drink to keep the adults happy, there will be a variety of entertainment for children, as well as workshops for all ages. You can buy advance tickets here.
Snail Racing Championships
Congham Snail Racing Championships are guaranteed to keep the children entertained on Saturday 21st July. Over 200 snails will battle it out in a bid to win the title of World Champion. This tense race, on which the weather can have a huge impact, attracts a crowd every year. Entry to the event is free, and participants can enter more than one snail, if they wish. Sandringham Flower Show
This makes the perfect day out for any flower-enthusiast, taking place on Wednesday 25th July 2018. The show, which has been running for over 130 years, is one of the most prestigious in East Anglia and comprises of trade stands, professional garden displays and a variety of arena events throughout the day. Set in the beautiful grounds of Sandringham Park, Sandringham Flower Show attracts around 200,000 visitors each year, including our Royal patronage, so it is bound to be packed full of fun. Downham Market Water Festival
Open from 10am until 5pm on Sunday 12th August, Downham Market Water Festival will provide a whole host of entertainment. Visitors can expect to see a Dragon Boat race, which takes place at Hythe Bridge on the banks for the Great Ouse Relief Channel. There will also be plenty of stalls to peruse, a fun fair to enjoy and plenty of activities to get involved with on the water. Read about last year's event here!
