Things to do for Families in Norfolk Summer 2018

It's that time again, school's out, sun's out, and the kids are at home for six weeks. The summer holidays are when families take the time to let their hair down, and get away for a week or so to enjoy the summer sun.

With the wonderful weather we've been enjoying this year, there's never been a better time to take a trip to Norfolk and enjoy the fabulous countryside and coastline this county is famous for. With that in mind, we've put together the best things for families to do in Norfolk this summer!

Cromer Pier Summer Show 2018

A staple of summer seaside fun for over 40 years, the annual Cromer Pier Summer Show is a must see for adults and children alike.

Mixing traditional variety with more contemporary elements, the Summer Show is a feast of comedy, novelty acts, dance and general good ol' fashioned fun.

The Cromer Pier Summer Show 2018 takes place at the Pavilion Theatre in Cromer from the 27th July to 8th September.

Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary

The prospect that it may rain at some point this summer seems impossible after so many weeks of sunshine, but, should you experience a rainy day in the summer holidays, there are a few better places to pass the time than the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary.

Here, you and your family can embark on an undersea odyssey, encountering a variety of amazing sea creatures, including seals, sharks and penguins!

This year, the Hunstanton Sea Life Sanctuary are unveiling the new nationwide LEGO adventure, Ocean Explorers, where your intrepid explorers can 'discover new depths of the ocean whilst helping the LEGO deep sea diver track down his missing equipment'.

Pensthorpe Natural Park

If you and your family are looking for some outdoor adventures this summer, take yourselves down to the award winning Pensthorpe Natural Park, in North Norfolk.

Located in the heart of the Wensum Valley, Pensthorpe is packed with outdoor fun from beautiful wildlife to adventure play.

Children will love the WildRootz outdoor adventure play area, as well as Hootz House, an award winning indoor play area which includes soft play for under 5s.

Take a Trip to the Beach

We've been blessed with a wonderful summer so far in the UK, and the signs are that the sunshine is set to continue for sometime yet. With that in mind, there really are few things more enjoyable to do as a family, than to pack your windbreaker and your bucket and spade, and head down to the seaside.

Norfolk is blessed with innumerable beaches, perfect for a family outing, but some of our favourites are on the North Norfolk coast, at Holkham, Wells, Hunstanton and Sheringham.

Snettisham Park

Snettisham Park, a 329 acre working farm, is a unique Norfolk attraction, and makes for the perfect family day out.

At Snettisham you and your family can get involved in the day to day activities of farm life, including bottle feeding lambs, grooming ponies and feeding the goats!

One of the highlights of a visit to Snettisham Park is the Deer Safari ride a 45 minute round trip into the heart of the deer park to visit the herds of free roaming deer. If you're lucky, you may even get to hand feed them!

If your looking for a getaway this summer, Heacham Manor has the perfect offer for you. Stay in one of our versatile and popular Cottage Suites for 1 or more nights Bed & Breakfast, from only £164 per suite, per night (valid through Sunday 2nd September 2018), and enjoy discounted tickets at popular attractions such as Hunstanton Sea Life Centre or Snettisham Park Farm.
