If you are planning a romantic break to North Norfolk then you're in luck, because in this week's blog we've put together 5 of the best things to do in North Norfolk for couples.

Enjoy!

Norfolk Coast Cycleway

Discovering North Norfolk's impressive coastline is a great activity as part of your couple's break to the area. If you're feeling brave, you can complete the entire stretch from King's Lynn to Cromer, measuring at just under 60 miles, or you can join and leave at whichever points you wish. The cycleway runs parallel to the coast, with the route leading you through villages to stop for a well-earned lunch at a local Norfolk pub.

Ride the North Norfolk Railway

Not only does the North Norfolk town of Sheringham boast award-winning beaches, it is also home to a preserved railway station on part of The Poppy Line, where you can see and ride on some traditional steam engines, running between Sheringham and Holt via Weybourne. The service also reguarly runs dining trains which are the perfect romantic experience, whether you are looking for a relaxed afternoon tea or a more formal evening meal.

Norfolk Sea Fishing

Whether you're experienced fishers, or are just looking for a fun day out, Norfolk Sea Fishing is great for couples. Situated in the lovely coastal town of Wells-next-the-Sea, the team at Norfolk Sea Fishing know exactly where to take you to make catching Bass, Top and Cod, all that little bit more likely so you can impress one another with any catch you may make!

Visit The Seals

The seal colony in Norfolk is growing every year and getting the chance to see them up close is a truly special experience. In the winter months, you'll find beaches full of Grey Seals at Blakeney Point and Horsey Gap, which are definitely worth braving the cold weather for. However, if you are visiting in the summer, you'll see smaller Common Seals at Blakeney Point and on the Hunstanton sandbanks. If you are in Hunstanton then make sure you check out the Seal Safari Tour which boards at the central promenade and takes you across The Wash and out to the seals on the sandbanks.

Visit The Sandringham Estate

Having opened to the public in 1977 a visit to the Royal family's stunning Norfolk retreat makes a perfect day out for any couple. You could start by enjoying lunch at the on-site restaurant and strolling around the immaculately-maintained gardens around the estate before enjoying some tea and cake at the coffee shop or tea room in the afternoon. End the day browsing the fascinating House Museum where you'll learn all about the Royal family. It is recommended that you allow at least four hours for your visit here in order to be able to see everything that have to offer.
