We are lucky to enjoy lots of superb events which take place around North Norfolk throughout the year. A perfect excuse for an overnight stay at Heacham Manor Hotel. 

Creake Abbey Farmers Market

1st Saturday of Each Month (Excluding January)

The Creake Abbey Farmers Market has built a reputation as one of the best spots to sample local delights and produce in North West Norfolk. Packed with around 50+ vendors each month visitors enjoy access to artisan cakes and bakes, confectionery, produce, flowers, meats, beverages and much more.

The market runs from 9:30 AM - 1:00 PM, and visitors are also welcomed to check out Creake Abbey's own cafe and farm shop, with its own selection of regional produce, treats and ready meals.

Tony Cragg at Houghton Hall

19th MAY - 26th SEPTEMBER

Visiting Houghton Hall's spectacular grounds and the house is a must while you are in the area. Originally home to Britain's first Prime Minister Sir Robert Walpole, Houghton Hall is a spectacular Grade I listed building a stunning representation of Palladian Architecture.

In 2021 Houghton Hall welcomes a collection of boundary-pushing works from artist Tony Cragg. This follows on from previously limited exhibitions from Anish Kapoor (pictured) and Damien Hurst.

Burnham Market (2) Horse Trails

Burnham Market (2) Horse Trials is part of the Tri-Star Saracen Horse Feeds Grass Roots League and the Tri-Star Fairfax Saddles Novice League.

Sandringham Game and Country Fair

11TH & 12TH SEPTEMBER 2020

Head to the Countryside Arena at the Sandringham Game and Country Fair for an immersive dive into traditional countryside pursuits. With falconry, chainsaw carving, dog shows, shooting exhibitions and more there is something for everyone. 

Norfolk Coast Dark Skies Festival

25th September - 10th October

With very little light pollution Norfolk is the perfect spot for stargazing. With the nights rolling in earlier Norfolk Coast AONB are bringing you a series of events across the county celebrating all things astronomy and nature.

Norfolk Open Studios

25th September - 10th October

In a massive celebration of Local Artists, Norfolk Open Studios is an exhibition spread across 260 galleries and schools. 

Enjoy art trails, demonstrations and exhibits all of which are free to enter. You will have the chance to meet the people behind the art and even shop for some unique pieces to take home.

Deer & Wildlife Walk at Holkham Hall

7th, 14th & 21st October

Get an up-close guided look at Holkham Hall's Fallow Deer population. Explore the grounds and lakeside, to learn about all of the native wildlife in the area.

You will also be offered the chance to look at one of Holkham's smallest buildings from the historic estate, the ice house. Book your tickets and find out more on the Holkham Hall website.

Fungi Foray at Holkham Hall

22nd, 29th October & 12th November

Join Holkham Hall's resident nature reserve guide for an in-depth look at some of the rare and fascinating mushroom species that grow in the area.

This 3-hour tour concludes with a well-earned coffee and cake and includes parking. Book your tickets and find out more on the Holkham Hall website.

Fawkes in the Walks


The legendary FREE firework event returns to The Walks in King's Lynn.

The park will be packed with stall and rides and the fun will begin at 6pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6.30pm and the main firework display will start at 8pm.

Hunstanton Bonfire Night

November 2021 date tbc

One of the largest firework displays in the area and it gets bigger and better each year! With a funfair, stalls, live music, stunning fireworks and refreshments.

Gates open at 5pm. The bonfire will be lit at 6pm. Fireworks display starts at 7.30pm.

Sandringham Christmas Craft, Food and Drink Fair


Brought to you by Living Heritage Events, the Sandringham Christmas Fair is a firm festive favourite. With all other events postponed until 2021, the Christmas Fair is going to be a welcome addition to those who missed their Craft and Food Fair fix due to COVID.

 With plenty of artisan gifts, drinks and treats you'll be sure to pick up some unique gifts for your friends and family this Christmas. You might even catch a glimpse of Santa Claus, so bring the family along. Tickets available at the Living Heritage Country Shows website.



Holkham Hall Festive Food Festival

Stock your pantry for Christmas, buy delectable gifts, and learn tips and recipes from fantastic local chefs.

Hosted in the Lady Elizabeth Wing, join Holkham Hall for a magical celebration of festive food and drink. 

10am - 4pm.

Wells Christmas Tide

See Santa Claus arrive to Well-Next-The-Sea by boat, followed by festive fun and entertainment in the town.

Luminate Sandringham


Coming to the Royal Sandringham Estate this Autumn/Winter is a spectacular illuminated trail sure to take your breath away. 

Coupled with atmospheric music, you can meander the 1-mile trail at your own pace and even stop for a Mulled Wine at the half waypoint. Before returning to the Sandringham Cafe for some more refreshments or heading to the fire pit to roast some marshmallows.

Royal Norfolk Show
