Golf Membership at Heacham Manor is available to all golfers and is superb value for money, with no joining fee, now is a superb time to join Heacham Manor Golf Club. Since opening in May of 2009 the course has matured well, hard work on the fairways has seen the grass thicken and our greens are quickly gaining a reputation as some of the best in Norfolk.

A golf membership at Heacham Manor entitles you to:
- Unlimited access to the superb championship length 18 hole golf course (Subject to availability and conditions).
- Entry to club competitions including; Medals, Stablefords, Matches, Social competitions and events and more.
- Priority tee times reserved for members before 9am daily (If members priority slots are not reserved within 48 hours of play they may be offered to hotel guests and visitors).

A large clubhouse, function room and golf shop is planned to be built, until that point members will use the already established clubhouse of Searles Golf and Country Club as a base.
Heacham Manor members are also given a login name for the superb ‘club tee sheet’ which allows you to control your own tee bookings online, look up competition results, view your handicap, message other members and much more, putting your golf in your hands.
If you are new to joining a golf club and are unsure about getting involved in club event or gaining a handicap, our setup of seniors mornings, ladies mornings, social events and the handicap mentor service makes it easy for you to meet other members get involved in competitions and be an active member of the club. PGA Professional Ray Stocker is also available to ensure you swing is at its best.
As Heacham Manor Golf Club is also affiliated to the English Golf Union and the Norfolk Golf Union, members will have the benefit of county cards giving reduced fees on courses throughout Norfolk.
Dual Membership with Searles Golf Course
Also joining Heacham Manor Golf Course now will enable you to play the Searles Resort Course for only £50 (1st Jan 2012 to 30th April 2012) if you join Heacham Manor now.
This dual membership would give you access to 27 holes of golf, the largest golfing venue in the west of Norfolk.

How Busy is the course during the week and weekends?
- During the week the course is relatively quiet, however there may be occasions where play is restricted due to society or corporate bookings.
- At weekends the course can get busy especially in the mornings during the summer.
- However, members have allocation of all tee times between 7.44am and 8.56 daily and can book tee times up to 1 month in advance. This can be done by contacting the reception or online using your unique login name.
What competitions does the Club run?
- The club runs 12 medals and 12 stablefords for men and 6 monthly medals and 6 monthly stablefords for ladies, as well as junior competition, summer singles and doubles matchplay and the men’s club championship.
- In practice we have more including monthly mixed social competitions, ladies club championships, seniors club championships, winter matchplay.
- We also have a large number of Seniors, Mens and mixed matches against other clubs and enter into the Norfolk league competitions of the Myhill, Barnard and Cullington knockout tournaments.
- A golf handicap is not required to join Heacham Manor, However we do request that members attempt to gain a handicap within 6 months of joining.
- To gain a handicap, members must submit a minimum of 3 cards over 18 holes, which have been marked by another member with handicap, further information is available on the new members welcome booklet.
- Our Handicap mentors are also available to help you gain a handicap and to meet existing members.
Is there an opportunity for new members to meet existing members?
- The tee bookings system lets you create a list of friends and you are able to add yourself to any open booking.
- Every Monday morning the seniors meet the ladies meet on a Wednesday this is on an open basis, for the purpose of meeting and socialising with other players.
- Alternately there are monthly mixed competitions and all Sunday competitions have tee times allocated giving you the opportunity to meet other members.
- We also organise social events throughout the year which gives a good opportunity to meet other members.
- There is not currently a joining fee for Heacham Manor Golf Club
- There is not currently a waiting list and you are able to join without referral from another member, however as membership increase in the future we may have a waiting list.
Am I entitled to a courtesy round?
- We do not offer a courtesy round, but up to two green fees will be refunded off the cost of your membership if you choose to join (proof of paid green fee is required).
Why do I have to pay the English Golf Union and Norfolk Golf Union fee
- Every golfer has to pay these fees to enable us as a club to be able to offer handicaps, hold competitions and offer County Cards. This money goes toward helping the EGU and Norfolk Union develop golf on a national and local level. More information can be found on www.englishgolfunion.org.
